Meet Michaela
Michaela Padruno is the founder and creative director of Studio Padruno.
Rooted in the Midwest and shaped by city living, Michaela brings a distinct sensibility to interiors—one that balances warmth, edge, and a deeply considered sense of livability. Her work is guided by an artistic foundation and a belief that spaces should be felt as much as they are seen.
Her path into interiors began in fine art, where she developed an early appreciation for composition, materiality, and storytelling. That foundation later evolved into formal training, earning a degree in Architectural Studies with an emphasis in Interior Design from the University of Missouri. This dual lens, artistic and architectural, continues to inform her approach today.
Michaela’s portfolio spans residential and commercial interiors, including private homes, hospitality concepts, fitness spaces, and boutique retail environments. Across every project, her work is defined by layered textures, thoughtful contrast, and moments of quiet surprise: design decisions that feel personal, intentional, and enduring.
At the heart of her philosophy is the belief that interiors are a form of immersive art: spaces meant to be lived in fully, remembered instinctively, and experienced over time.
